Two Chamber Bat House - MTBC and BCI Certified
This two chamber bat house is built to meet and exceed all 10 of Bat Conservation International (BCI) certification requirements. We've taken great effort to create a completely finished, durable, practical and easy to install bat house.
Featuring an Integrated Mounting Cleat for easy hanging!
We use high quality building materials: exterior grade ACX plywood, weatherproof fasteners, a 50 year polyurethane adhesive caulk, and two coats of premium, self priming exterior water-based paint. All interior surfaces have cut grooves giving bats a permanent gripping texture that will never come loose and entangle or injure the bats. Internal baffles are spaced 3/4" apart; the research based, bat preferred spacing. The roof is painted with a complimentary 10X deck paint to improve appearance, durability and solar heating.
Includes a complete manual that covers where and how to install your bat house for the best chance of success. Select from 3 different colors, based upon the average (July) high temperatures for your area. Please note that if the average July temperature in your area is 84 degrees or less, a two-chamber bat house may not be able to reach or maintain a high enough temperature for the bats. A 3- or 4-chamber cold weather is recommended.
Made in the USA
Specifications:
Dimension: H 31" x W 20" x D 4"
Weight: 20 lbs.
Bat Capacity*: about 175
Cubic Inches of Roosting Space: 500
*We attempt to be honest with our estimates allowing approx 3 cubic inches for each bat. This includes an allowance for unused space since the bats will not pack the house top to bottom. Some species will crowd in very tightly, others will not. Here's the math: "Cubic Inches of Roosting space / 3 Cubic Inches = estimate of capacity".

Well Made
We had considered building a bat house of our own, but realized we would not have time to do so before the bats returned for the season. We were very pleased with how this one was made. It looks great. It meets all the bat requirements we had read about, and we appreciate the instructional videos that have been posted online. The hanging cleat that was provided was designed well and made it very easy to install. We have noticed bats flying around the last few evenings and now we are waiting and hoping they like their new home!

The bat house looks just like it is advertised which was great.
The bat house was a Christmas present for my 7 year old grand daughter who is so interested in bats. I hope it attracts bats as everyone in the family is wanting to save the bats.

We'd move in!
My husband just opened his Halloween gift of this bathouse and is thrilled, even though i'm the bat lover in the family. As a carpenter he is impressed by the quality materials and construction. The bat trim adds the right decorative touch (for people anyway). Now if only he will install it before Christmas!

Happy with the Two Chamber Bat House
After reading reviews and looking online about all the different bat houses I decided on this one based on the helpful information and online videos provided by HFB. The bat house arrived early and was packed well. This bat house is well made and fit and finish is good. The only issue I had was one corner shingle was torn. I trimmed it and applied some black silicone. In no way am I a bat expert. I guess you could call this a novelty purchase but I am also interested in saving bats since they are so important to our ecosystem. I have seen bats in my area flying around the 2 security lights on our property. I have ponds within a 1/4 mile from my house. I have a abundance of bugs. My only issue is my property is 200 feet wide bordered by trees and I'm having to guess on my best location based on sunlight exposure. One important thing to remember location location location. Having done that I installed my bat house on a S&K 15' telescoping pole. Now we wait to see if I have provided a suitable home for the bats.

Quality product
I purchased the 2Chamber BatHouse and received it very quickly. It is an excellent quality made product and a major upgrade from the previous bathouse I had. Installation was very easy. Waiting to see if my bats return and how well they will like the new house.

Good design and well built
I ordered 2 of the 2-chamber bat houses for our ISO 14001 project at work. Our area has one of the largest small brown bat colonies in the country, but they are dying from the white nose syndrom. We are hoping that these bat houses might be of some benefit to the bats that survive. Everything was exactly as described with the bat houses. The company even contacted us about the color of the houses because of our northern location. The packaging was very good and if we decide to put more houses up they will come from this company.

Our new bat homes
We were impressed with their website - very informative and with our order included all necessary advice. Our products came quickly, were very well packed and of high quality construction. Hoping our bats are as happy as we were and move in soon.

Excellent product
I am very happy with my purchase. Solid construction and finish. The French cleat made it very easy to mount while on a ladder. I highly recommend this bat house. Now lets see if any bats show up. Its only been a few days but I am hopeful. The online videos will help anyone who has difficulty with the instructions.

First time buyer, product is as advertised
Looks great! Installation instructions leave a little to be desired, but I think I got those from batcon.org (for example, instructions say to attach 2x4 to back of bat house with 1 5/8" screws. So screw isn't even long enough to penetrate all the way through 2x4!). Response: Thanks for the comment. We are in the process of updating our manual and are looking for things like this.
