Shipping & Returns

Shipping & Delivery

Most orders are processed within 24 hours, except on holidays.  Generally, kits are shipped within 1-2 business days and finished bat houses ship within 7-10 business days (2 weeks).  Our shop and estore operate on EST/EDT (Eastern Time).

In the event of a significant delay, we will attempt to contact you at the email address or phone number provided with your order. You will receive a tracking number by email when your item(s) ship.  UPS offers tracking information at their website:

If your purchase is a gift and/or you need expedited delivery, please contact us either by email or phone to verify we will be able to ship within your time frame.

We ship via UPS Ground.  Currently, we only ship to the continental US.  We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands or APO/FPO locations.   UPS does not deliver to a Post Office Box.  If you list your ship to address as a PO Box, please be aware that there will be delays as we attempt to contact you to request a physical ship to address.  In the meantime, your credit card will be charged for the items ordered.  Once your order has left our facility, we have little control over the time it takes to get your order to you.  UPS does list delivery times, however, there are exceptions beyond our control.  If you are placing a just-in-time order, please allow extra time for any delays that may occur.

Shipping charges are based on delivery location and size of the box.  Our bat houses ship oversized (34x22x8 or larger).   The minimum ship weight per UPS for this size box is 42 lbs. although the houses do not weigh that much.  Shipping cost is calculated at checkout.

We do not have a physical store at this time.  However, we do have all of our items listed on our store and, from time to time, we participate in local craft fairs, expositions and exhibits.


Damaged items

Our items are packaged to ensure they arrive in good condition.  But alas, things happen beyond our control.  If an item arrives damaged, please let us know within 5 days so we can notify the shipper.  Send a description of the damage, with photos, to    We will make arrangements with the shipper to pick up the damaged product and provide you with replacement details.


Returns and Refunds

Unwanted items

We want you to be happy with your purchase.  However, if you decide you want to return an item because you no longer want it, please notify us within 7 days of receipt of the item.   You can email or call us at 770-500-2851.   We will issue you a return authorization (RMA) and instructions on where to ship the item.  Personalized items cannot be returned for a refund.   All items must be returned in unused condition, with all original packaging and inserts within 30 days of purchase..  Once we have inspected the returned item, we will credit you in the same manner as your original payment within 2 weeks.  Your credit will be for the cost of the item only.  We do not refund shipping charges.  Return shipping is the responsiblity of the customer. 

Defective goods

We work hard to build our bat houses as close to perfect as possible.  It is normal for small defects (small knots, surface gaps etc.) to appear in plywood.   These are considered normal and do not constitute a defect.   If your bat house does have a defect other than described above, we will gladly do what it takes to make it right.   This does NOT apply to "seconds" bat houses which are certified sound but may have cosmetic or capacity reducing defects.   If you feel your bat house has a defect, please email or call us at 770-500-2851 within 30 days of receiving your bat house for instructions.
