Three Chamber Bat House - BCI Certified

This three chamber bat house is built to meet and exceed all 10 of Bat Conservation International (BCI) certification requirements.  We've taken great effort to create a completely finished, durable, practical and easy to install bat house.

Now approved by Merlin Tuttle's Bat Conservation (MTBC).

Featuring an Integrated Mounting Cleat for easy hanging!

Watch as we build a three chamber bat house:

We use high quality building materials:  exterior grade ACX plywood, weatherproof fasteners, a 50 year polyurethane adhesive caulk, and two coats of premium, self priming exterior water-based paint.  All interior surfaces have cut grooves giving bats a permanent gripping texture that will never come loose and entangle or injure the bats.  Internal baffles are spaced 3/4" apart; the research based, bat preferred spacing.  The roof is painted with a complimentary 10X deck paint to improve appearance, durability and solar heating.

Includes a complete manual that covers where and how to install your bat house for the best chance of success.  Select from 3 different colors, based upon the average (July) high temperatures for your area.  If your average July temperature is 84 degrees or less, please go back to "Finished Bat Houses" and select a cold weather bat house.

Made in the USA

Specifications:
     Dimension:  H 31" x W 20" x D 5.25"
     Weight:   24 lbs.
     Bat Capacity*:  about 250
Cubic Inches of Roosting Space:   750

*We attempt to be honest with our estimates allowing approx 3 cubic inches for each bat. This includes an allowance for unused space since the bats will not pack the house top to bottom. Some species will crowd in very tightly, others will not.  Here's the math: "Cubic Inches of Roosting space / 3 Cubic Inches = estimate of capacity".

    Love the Bat house

Posted by Mele Perrego on 16th Dec 2020

I'm impressed with the quality of the bat house - not a cheezy flimsy one so I'm hoping that many bats will make their home in mine for a long time. My husband liked the instructions for pole mounting and I think everything turned out great. I purchased this bat house a little late this year and didn't get it up until early fall so we will have to see if any bats find it next spring/summer and hopefully move in.

    The Bats Love It

Posted by CHRIS PHILLIPS on 10th Sep 2020

Hello Habitat For Bats, I wanted to send you some pics of your 3 chamber bat house that I bought back around the end of March 2020. I live in a urban area , a suburb of Houston Texas. I installed it on the southeast side of my 2 story house the last week of May. I had to add a 1/2 spacer across the bottom and use some tapered shims on the cleat and the spacer because I mounted it on lap board hardy plank siding. Well it took about 3 months for the bats to find it and move in to their new home. I was so happy when I noticed there were signs of bat habitation in the bat house. I noticed the grass had discolored directly underneath the bat house and a lot of bat turds on the side of my house. I have attached some pics. Feel free to use them if you want to. Thanks for a good quality bat house that the bats found in moved into, Chris

    Best Bat House

Posted by Jen on 4th Sep 2020

I purchased this bat house several years ago and I have a fairly large colony of bats that return to use it every season. I just purchased another bat house with the hopes that the colony will continue to expand. The bat houses are well-made, sturdy, and look much better (visually) than most others that I've seen. I'm very happy with them and so are the bats!

    Just what we expected!

The 3 chamber bat house arrived with a little ding from shipping but is very well built and looks fabulous in it's new home. My husband was able to install it pretty easily. Now we wait for the guests! Response: We apologize for your bat house "having a little ding from shipping". Glad they didn't totally destroy it.

Impressed with Fit and Finish of the 3 Chamber Bat House

Posted by BudT on 3rd Jul 2017

After researching many bat houses, I settled on this one because of several positive reviews. But mostly what convinced me to buy here was the honesty that was conveyed from the proprietier. When the question was asked in the Q&A section as to how many bats the houses could support, I felt that the answer provided was very realistic and not driven off of a best case scenario. Very pleased with the quality and I expect it will last a long time. Now if I can just get some tenants.

    Great bat house

The bat house is really high quality and it even looks good too. When my tried to get the post/house into the ground, the whole thing crashed. Nothing was broken!

    High quality, beautiful.

This bat house is put together very well and looks great. I've been shopping for these for a while, and even built one of my own once, and this one is superior. I can't wait to see new occupants move in!

    Pleased With The Product

Posted by Charles (Chuck) Cawthon on 21st Apr 2015

I've been wanting a bat house and have been shopping around for awhile. Most were crude and not much above an arts and crafts construction experiment with dubious expectations of its functionality. I was watching YouTube and saw your product and I was impressed with the quality of construction but more so of the institutional backing and their endorsement. My bat house is mounted now on the southeast gable end of my house and I'm anxiously awaiting my guests arrival. Chuck Cawthon
